Solar sales teams spend too much time waiting on designs and not enough time with homeowners. Solo was built to fix that. It handles design, proposals, and financing in one platform — either through its managed design team or Solo Studio — so reps stay focused on closing rather than building slide decks.

What Is Solo Solar?

Solo is a solar sales conversion platform built for residential solar installers, EPCs, and sales groups that need fast, accurate proposals without managing an in-house design team. Over 1,000 solar companies across all 50 states use it. The platform gives teams three ways to build proposals: Solo Studio for in-house design, Solo On-Demand for instant product proposals, and Solo Concierge, which lets Solo’s expert team handle everything. A no-contract Flex option is also available for teams that want flexibility without a monthly commitment.

Features

Solo covers design, sales, and financing from one platform. Here is what it includes:

  • Solo Studio: AI-assisted in-house design with real-time editing and integrated proposal creation
  • Solo On-Demand: instant proposals for batteries, HVAC, EV, and product-only sales without site measurements
  • Solo Concierge: expert-built, install-ready solar designs and proposals delivered in minutes
  • 99.9% DNV-certified production accuracy trusted by TPO lenders and independent auditors
  • Integrated financing marketplace with real-time lender rate quotes and in-proposal document signing.
  • Custom adders for batteries, roofing, HVAC, and other energy products
  • Automatic AHJ compliance checks from a nationwide private database

  • SoloSign for in-platform document signing
  • Unlimited users on all plans

Solo Solar Pricing

Solo offers two contract types with distinct structures.

Annual Contract Plans

This option comes in three tiers — Core ($800/month), Pro ($1,600/month), and Elite ($3,200/month). All three include Solo Studio, On-Demand, and Concierge access, unlimited users, partner integrations, advanced battery modeling, API and webhooks and award-winning support. A one-time onboarding fee applies separately.

Month-to-Month (Flex)

This is a standalone, no-contract option for teams that want managed Concierge designs without a monthly commitment. Pricing is volume-based — $32 per project for 1 to 99 proposals monthly, $27 for 100 to 499 and $24 for 500 or more. Flex does not include Solo Studio or On-Demand. Add-ons across all plans include shade reports at $1, DXF downloads at $2, and KBA verification at $2 per project.

Integrations

Solo Solar integrations

Solo’s marketplace connects with tools solar teams already depend on. On the financing side, that includes GoodLeap, LightReach by Palmetto, Sungage, Dividend, and Sunlight Financial — all with real-time rate quotes built into the proposal.

For CRM, the platform ties into Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, JobNimbus, and Quickbase. Other confirmed connections include DocuSign, Solar Insure, Zapier, Align Solar and a full open API with webhooks for teams that need custom integrations beyond the native options.

How to Set Up Solo Solar

Solo solar how to setup

Getting started involves a guided onboarding — rather than a self-serve signup. Here is what the process looks like:

  1. Book a demo at gosolo.io to discuss your needs and choose between annual and Flex options.
  2. Complete the one-time onboarding program, which Solo positions as going above typical industry standards.
  3. Configure company branding, proposal templates, and regional customizations.
  4. Connect financing partners, CRM, and operations tools through the integration marketplace.
  5. Add team members — unlimited users means no reason to hold back.
  6. Start submitting Concierge requests or build directly in Solo Studio, depending on your plan.

How to Use Solo Solar

Once onboarded, the day-to-day workflow keeps reps moving:

  1. Submit a Concierge request and receive a complete, install-ready proposal in minutes
  2. Build or edit proposals in Solo Studio for real-time design control during live sales conversations.
  3. Use On-Demand to generate instant product proposals for battery, HVAC, or EV add-on opportunities.
  4. Present financing options and collect signatures inside the proposal through SoloSign.
  5. Track team performance and proposal activity through MissionControl and Solo Analytics.
  6. Pull AHJ compliance data from the built-in database before permit submissions.
